Os rapazes dos Big Time Rushe certamente têm tido um verão memorável. Eles estão a meio da sua Big Time Tour, viajando pelas Estados Unidos e Canadá trazendo diversão a milhares de fãs, a.k.a, Rushers, todas as noites.
MTV News esteve com o Kendall, Logan, James e Carlos antes de estarem no palco Nikon em Jones Beach Amphitheatre e os rapazes deram-nos uma exclusiva tourné pelos bastidores do local do concerto, explicando as melhores coisas da vida na estrada.
"Acordamos numaa cidade diferente todos os dias e conhecemos fãs um a um todos os dias," disse James Maslow. "And obviamente actuar não dói."
Logan acrescentou, "Para não falar que acordamos todos os dias à volta do meio-dia, por isso se tivermos uma longa noite, é sempre bom pra dormir."
Antes de um concerto, a banda do Nickelodeon relaxa no seu camarim, que tem cotinados vermelhos e castanhos, completado com o seu estúdio de música improvisado, onde andam a gravar o seu próximo album, e claro uma grande variedade de video-jogos. Entre batalhas de "Mario Kart 7" e "Call of Duty," Maslow e Pena têm de tratar dos seus cães, um Alaskan Klee Kai chamado Fox e um Shepherd alemão, Sydney, que andam com eles em tourné.
Algumas horas depois, depois da menina do "X-Factor" Rachel Crow e do cantor australiano Cody Simpson aquecerem o público, eles preparam-se pra entrar em palco. Ainda, antes deles cumprimentarem as fãs com o seu número de abertura, "Elevate", são muitos os pensamentos nas suas cabeças.
"Espero que eles desfrutem desta noite e pra não ficares nervoso, tira isto da tua cabeça," disse Kendall Schmidt sobre o que pensa minutos antes de entrar em palco. "Nós dizemos isto para tirar isto da cabeça e puxamos uns pelos outros."
Maslow acrescentou, ""Todas as noites nós lembramo-nos para apenas nos divertirmos, se te enganas, porque estamos a fazer 70 concertos, és obrigado a mexer nas coisas aqui e ali, não deixes isso chegar a ti, apenas diverte-te."
E eles admitiram que houve alturas em que se enganaram visivelmente, especialmente nas músicas em que eles têm o trampolim. "O trampolim é o que nos leva a enganar mais," disse Schmidt. "Carlos foi fazer um mortal pra trás e quando aterrou raspou a perna."
Ainda, mesmo quando estão a cair em palco, a fazer serenatas para as raparigas da plateia ou fazer a multidão gritar "woo-hoo" durate a actuação do seu contagiante novo single "Windows Down," o principal objectivo dos Big Time Rush em palco é ter uma explosão de diversão.
"O palco de todo o concerto é interessante e muito divertido," disse Logan Henderson. "Há sempre algo a acontecer então nos achamos que mesmo as pessoas que vêm e não conhecem os Big Time Rush gostam do espectáculo porque há sempre algo a acontecer, é o que nos gostamos nisso." Schmidt acrescentou, "E temos cerca de 18 músicas por isso é algo como uma hora e meia de um fantástico espectáculo e no´s estamos lá em cima a dançar e a a trabalhar no duro com toda a certeza."

The boys of Big Time Rush certainly have had a memorable summer so far. They are currently halfway through their Big Time Tour, traveling across the U.S. and Canada bringing the fun and excitement to thousands of fans, a.k.a. The Rushers, each night.
MTV News caught up with Kendall, Logan, James and Carlos before hitting the stage at Nikon at Jones Beach Amphitheatre and the boys gave us an exclusive backstage tour of the venue, while explaining the best parts of life on the road.
“We get to wake up in a different city every single day and actually meet fans one-on-one every day,” James Maslow said. “And obviously playing the show doesn’t hurt.”
Logan added, “Not to mention you get to wake up around noon, so if you had a long night, it’s always good to sleep in.”
Before a show, the Nickelodeon boy band relax in their dressing room, which is covered in red and brown drapes, complete with their makeshift studio, where they are recording their next album, and of course a wide array of video games. In between battles of “Mario Kart 7″ and “Call of Duty,” Maslow and Pena have to tend to their dogs, an Alaskan Klee Kai named Fox and a German Shepherd, Sydney, who have joined them on tour.
A few hours later, after “X Factor” cutie Rachel Crow and Australian pop singer Cody Simpson get the crowd warmed up, they get ready to take the stage. Yet, before they greet their fans with their opening number, “Elevate”, there are many thoughts going through their head.
“I hope they enjoy tonight and to not be nervous, get it out of your mind,” Kendall Schmidt said of what he thinks about moments before performing. “We do this little chant like get out of your mind and we pump ourselves up.”
Maslow added, “We remind ourselves each night to just have a good time, if you screw up, because we are playing 70 shows, you’re bound to mess up things here and there, don’t let it get to you, just have a good time.”
And they admit that there have been times where they have noticeably messed up, especially during the songs where they bring out a trampoline. “The trampoline is what gets us the most,” Schmidt said. “Carlos went to do a back flip and landed and scraped his leg.”
Yet, even when they are falling on stage, serenading girls in the crowd or getting concert goers to yell “woo-hoo” during the performance of their catchy new single “Windows Down,” Big Time Rush’s main goal on stage is to just have a blast.
“The stage for our whole show is actually really interesting and a lot of fun,” Logan Henderson said. “There’s always something going on so we figure even the people who come up and don’t know Big Time Rush love the show because there’s always something going on, so that’s what we love about it.” Schmidt added, “And we have like 18 songs so it’s like an hour and a half of an awesome show and we’re dancing up there and working our butts off for sure.”
